Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 595

Catherine and Priscilla were of a similar age, but Catherine looked better in terms of complexion and figure. "Speak of the devil."

"I'm sure she's here to buy the herbs."

"This should be interesting to watch."

People began gushing, waiting for the show to unfold.

Disappointment seeped in Everly when she noticed that only Catherine had come. There was no sign of Hera.

Everly welcomed, "Mrs, Jones, you're here. Where's Hera? Is she angry at me?"

Not answering Everly's question, Catherine grabbed her hand. "Everly, did you buy out all the four herbs? Stop this. You're disrupting the market." Catherine had always wanted to meet Everly, but she couldn't contact her.

Last night, however, Catherine suddenly received a call from Everly. Everly told her about her new clinic and invited Catherine and Hera over. Catherine didn't inform Hera about it because she had to prepare for Harvey's surgery. She didn't want to distract Hera.

Youngworth Miracle Clinic was closed today, so she decided to come over for a visit. She also wanted to talk to Everly and persuade her to stop disrupting the market as it wouldn't do anyone good.

Everly withdrew her hand. "You're right. I bought them all. Why isn't Hera here? Did she ask you to come alone?" She wondered if Hera had sent Catherine over to dissuade her.

"Herie "

Priscilla interrupted proudly, "Oh please, Catherine Youngworth. If you're here to ask for herbs, act like it. My family owns all of the reishi mushrooms, turmeric, sea cucumbers, and oyster shells in the whole country. Do you want them?"

Catherine pursed her lips, not expecting to see Priscilla here.

"Well, it's not like we can't give you some." Priscila sneered as she pointed at the door. "Go to Reinland Hospital. Walk from there to here, and kneel every three steps you take. Only then will I considepselling them to you."

Catherine's expression turned grim. "You're crossing the line."

"I am, but what can you do about it?" Priscilla barked.

It was true, there was nothing Catherine could do about it. She glanced at Everly, who was beside Priscilla, and the familiar faces behind them. They were standing by and watching the drama.

Finally, Catherine realized that Everly invited her over just to embarrass her.

To think that she had come to persuade Everly. How hilarious.

Catherine sighed in disappointment. "I hope you won't waste that batch of herbs."

Before Everly could ask what she meant by that, a swarm of people surrounded her.

"You're going too far, Ms. Pierce! You paid suppliers in the northern market triple the market price but offered those in the southern market 12 times the price! Are you looking down on us?"

"Exactly! I can't give you that batch of sea cucumber. Here's your money. I'm going to retrieve my stock back."

"The same goes for my oyster shells. You haven't paid in full anyway. Just consider that it's a breach of contract on my side."

Everly knew them very well. They were the ones she had been buying herbs from recently. The people leading the group were Ryder Obel and Walter Moore.

She tried to stay calm. "Mr. Obel, Mr. Moore, what's the meaning of this?"

"This is unfair, Everly Pierce. We took the risk of offending Dr. Shadow by selling you the herbs, but you only offered us triple the market price. You offered the southern region market 12 times the market price!

"We're now in Dr. Shadow's bad books because of you. We demand an explanation!" Ryder shouted furiously.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
