Triplets for the Billionaire novel (Oliver Gusto)

Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Oliver chuckled, then returned her hug.

“God!!! I missed this so much. I missed you. I missed inhaling your scent.” She said with her eyes closed.

“I wish I could kidnap you.” She mumbled; her eyes still closed.

Oliver chuckled.

Beatrice smiled, loving the vibration his upper body made against her head on his chest while he chuckled.

“What’s stopping you?”

The duo were silent for almost a minute.

She finally raised her head from his chest, looking into his eyes. “How long do you plan on staying with me?”

“I should return tomorrow. After the wedding.”

Beatrice shook her head.

“You’re getting married and I’m sure you will be leaving for your honeymoon after the reception. So I have no business here.”

“I’m not leaving for my honeymoon tomorrow.”

“What do you mean?” Ollie looked at her, confused. If there was anything he was well aware of, It was the fact that Beatrice was a fan of good and soft life as well as luxurious items. And going on vacations was one of her favorite things to do.

“My husband is busy with work so we would be going on our honeymoon on Friday instead of tomorrow.”

“That’s still no convincing reason for me to stay back.”

“You’ll be married in a few hours and I’m sure your husband wouldn’t appreciate you being around any man.”

“Andre is chilled. And you seem disciplined. I’m sure he wouldn’t have any problem with that.”

“Tonight won’t be enough for us to catch up since we have so many things to talk about. Besides, I don’t know when we're gonna see each other again so I feel this is the right time to show you around, explore and have fun with you.”

Oliver didn’t give any reply.

“Say Yes!” She pouted, staring at him with pleading eyes.”

“I’ve got things to do back in Australia.”

“Don’t be a boring boy! Your father said all you do is work your ass off in the office and I want to show you that I can be a good host. So please say Yes.”

Oliver sighed.

“I’ll think about it. But I’m not promising anything.”

Beatrice smiled. Oliver could hardly refuse her when they still used to live together. She was glad she still had the same effect on him.

“Let’s go have dinner. I don’t want the food to get cold.” She said, stealing a kiss from him. A kiss on the cheek before pulling away from the hug.

“You might want to wear something. It’s pretty cold outside.”

“Of course. The last thing I want is for you to be drooling over me instead of enjoying your meal.

Beatrice internally rolled her eyes at him.

Ollie left where she was by the door, went to where his luggage was and took out a gray shirt.

Bea strolled into the room to see how well he was settling in.

“Since you’re here. You might as well get your gift now.”

Ollie took out a wrapped package and an envelope from his box.

“Charles sincerely sends his regards.” He said as he handed her the gift.

Beatrice smiled, feeling butterflies in her stomach. One of the things she missed about Charles Gusto was that he was very good at spoiling her with material stuff. And she knew this gift would do no exemption in blowing her mind away.

She collected the gifts from Oliver, Settled on the edge of his bed and unwrapped them.

She started with the envelope. Her smile got bigger when she saw what was in there. A cheque of one million dollars in her name. Putting the gorgeous cheque back into the envelope, She started to unbox the wrapped gift. It turned out to be a jewelry box just as she predicted. Beatrice opened it and came face to face with a complete jewelry set. A necklace, pair of earrings, hand and leg chain. All were made of pure gold.

“This is just him being biased if you ask me,” Oliver said when he saw his ex-stepmother looking at the jewelry with nothing but admiration in her eyes.

“What do you mean?” She asked, not taking her eyes away from the beauty.

“Isn’t it supposed to be a wedding gift? I see him as someone who’s trying to win your heart again.”

“Stop playing around. I’m sure Charles has moved on. All of this is just out of respect.”

“So what were you expecting him to give as a wedding gift?”

“A gift for the couple. Not something personalized for you. I bet you won’t share that money with your husband.”

“Never!” Beatrice replied almost immediately, making Oliver chuckle.

“Can we go eat now? I’m famished.”

“Sure!” She said, rising to her feet with the gifts. “I’ll leave this here for later.” She placed them on a nearby table after which She and Ollie exited the guest room.

Bea led him to the balcony. The table was already set up with a variety of food, consisting of Oliver’s favorite.

“Hmmm, didn’t think you would still be a gentleman.” She smiled when he pulled out a chair for her to sit.

“I wouldn’t judge me if I were you.”

“I’m not.” She said, taking her seat. “Thank you.”

He went ahead to fill their cups with red wine after which he took his seat and they both ate in silence.

“This was amazing. Who made it? Magda?”

“No. Isabelle, The Chef. She’s really good. She has spoiled us in this house that I hardly eat outside. She’s in charge of appetizers and desserts for tomorrow.”

“So how do you feel about being married again? I presume you are going to move to your husband’s house. Will you be taking Isabelle and Magda with you? Are you gonna put this house on sale?”

“Definitely I’m moving in with Andre after the honeymoon. He has his staff who I’m on good terms with so there’s no point going with Magda and Isabelle. They will remain here, Serving Katherine.”

“I really don’t know what Katherine has in mind but if she won’t be staying here anymore, then we would have to put the house up for sale.”

“Katherine lives here with you?”

He frowned because he didn’t see any trace of her since he arrived.

Beatrice nodded. “You two didn’t bump into each other!”

“No. Not that I was looking forward to it or something. She just always seemed like one who always wanted to be alone. Someone who wanted her little corner and privacy and besides, you both do fight a lot, remember? So I’m surprised to know that She lives with you.”

A small smile crept to Beatrice’s lips. “We still fight, Almost every day.”

“We still fought today.” She added.

“She’s still stubborn. Isn’t she?” Oliver had no idea why he felt like hearing more about her.

Beatrice nodded. “Between her and Magda, I don’t know who pisses me off the more”

“What’s up with you both?” Beatrice asked.

Oliver frowned. “Who?”

“You and Katherine.”

“What do you mean what’s up with me and Katherine?”

Beatrice shrugged. “When last did you guys converse?”

“Seven years ago. The night you guys left.” Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.

Beatrice frowned, “Are you kidding me?”

Ollie chuckled. “You are the one being dramatic because I don’t know where the questions are coming from.”

“I’m being real here, darling. I know that that night, I was angry so everything happened so fast and we left immediately.”

Seeing Oliver’s confused look, She frowned and spoke, “ What I mean is that, after that night, Did She reach out to you to give you any news.” Beatrice asked, looking at him curiously, trying to make sense of the whole situation.

“I honestly didn’t know you guys still existed.”

Beatrice arched a brow at Oliver.

“A few days after you guys left, I had the nerve to ask my dad about your whereabouts and he told me you guys were involved in a car accident.”

“Charles said that?”

Oliver nodded. “It was obvious he was still very hurt by then so he probably told me that to get his mind and my mind off you all.”

“He only came clean a week ago when he informed me about your wedding, insisting that I must be in attendance.”

“You still haven’t told me the reason you guys broke up. And why all these questions about Katherine reaching out to me? Is there anything I’m meant to know?” He stared at Beatrice suspiciously.

Beatrice started back at him too. She was confused but not as confused as he was. A lot of thoughts were going through her head at that moment and part of it was wondering if She should tell Oliver Gusto the truth.
