Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

“Ms. Sadler, someone will bring over meals at the appropriate time. If you want to go out, you can ask the hotel concierge for assistance.”

Mayra covered her mouth and ran straight into the bathroom of the suite, vomiting violently. Less than two hours after eating the oatmeal, she vomited it out,

Seeing that time was running out, Shane called the front desk and asked someone to come and check on Mayra. The hotel front desk sent up a box of gastrointestinal medicine.

“Hello, Miss. A gentleman instructed us to give you this box of gastrointestinal medicine along with some food. A hotel attendant will come up later. Do you need me to pour you a glass of water?”

“Yes, thank you.”

After taking the medicine, Mayra felt some relief in her stomach. She lay down on the bed and fell asleep. She didn’t even have the strength to get up and have the food that was brought in.

Her eyelids were heavy as she lay on the bed, and she didn’t know when she fell asleep.

The dinner party hosted by Anderson ended at 9:30 pm.

“Mr. Barlow, do you want to go to the hospital?” Shane observed the person in the rearview mirror. Seeing Anderson pinching his glabella, Shane noticed that his headache seemed to have worsened rather than eased during this period.

Anderson said, “Give me the medicine.”

Shane said worriedly, “Mr. Barlow, you shouldn’t take too much of this medicine. The doctor said it could

have side effects.”

“Was Hailey taken to the hospital by Mayra?”

Anderson suddenly asked, causing Shane to pause before replying, “Yes. Ms. Sadler seemed very set on helping Ms. Hailey. At the time, Madam Sonia was also in the ward, but she probably doesn’t know that Ms. Sadler was the one who took Hailey away.”

“She’s quite bold. She usually screams at me but is meek in front of others. She doesn’t know how to fight back when bullied. She’s utterly spineless.”

After saying this, Anderson asked again, “How about the Fisher family?”

Shane replied truthfully, “Ms. Fisher had a close call with death, but fortunately, she’s much better now. Ms. Sadler asked me to gift the bracelet from Emerald Pavilion to Ms. Fisher in your name.

“It seems the Fisher family’s attitude has improved somewhat. I didn’t expect Ms. Sadler to have such thoughts.”

“Oh?” Anderson uttered softly. He tapped his index finger lightly on his knee, which was propped up. His eyes were deep with unfathomable thoughts.

On the surface, it seemed like he was alienating himself from the Fisher family, jeopardizing their status in society. At the same time, he also made Hailey owe Mayra a favor.

Mayra had become smarter.

Shane noticed the inexplicable smile at the corner of Anderson’s mouth, which made him feel uneasy.

“Go to the hospital. After giving the order, Anderson closed his eyes, leaned back in his seat, and remained silent.

When Hailey woke up, she found herself in the hospital. But when she looked out of the floor–to– ceiling window, she saw the familiar sight of the Pearl Tower, which was an attraction of Candor City.

How did she end up in Candor City?

She propped up her weak knees, sat up on the bed, and looked around. This was indeed not the hospital she was in before. How did she end up here?

A nurse brought food over. “Miss, you’re awake. A gentleman paid for me to take care of you. It’s good that you’re okay. Have some food first.”

“Was there also a young girl of 15 or 16 years old?”

The nurse nodded. “Yes.”

Hailey nodded, showing no strong emotions as she took a few bites of the oatmeal brought by the nurse.

Listening to the familiar and steady footsteps in the corridor, Hailey looked toward the door and hesitated for a few seconds. She coincidentally made eye contact with the man who appeared

outside the door.

Anderson raised his hand, and Shane stopped at the door of the hospital ward.

Hailey took a few more bites of her food, then saw Anderson approaching the bed. His breath was cold as he leaned over her.

“Mr. Barlow, why… are you here?” Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

“You’re not going to address me as ‘Andy‘?” Anderson looked down at her condescendingly.

Hailey gripped the spoon tightly as she ate from the bowl, her short hair hanging over her shoulders. She lowered her head and said, “I’m not qualified.”

“The Fisher family has agreed not to cancel the engagement. My task is done.” As she finished her last words, her chin was forcefully gripped by the man. He was forcing her to look at him.
