Chapter 17
However, Nelson's expression remained unchanged despite Sabrina's malicious interruption. He swept a gentle look across her hand with a smile as he spoke into the phone, "Would you like to continue your ambassadorship?"
After some silence, Pamela replied, "It's okay. I don't want to give you any trouble." She sounded so thoughtful and graceful. In comparison, Sabrina felt like the mistress instead due to her crass behavior just now.
Chuckling, Sabrina marveled at Pamela's methods.
This was her second encounter with Pamela. They met for the first time at the auction, where she was negotiating a divorce with Nelson.
Nelson hadn't gone home past midnight. When she called him, Pamela answered the phone on his behalf, "Ms. Wyatt, I'm sorry, but Nelson can't come to the phone now. I'll let him know you called as soon as I can."
Pamela acted courteously and appropriately, sounding more like a responsible secretary than his mistress.
Nelson could only be sleeping or in the shower if he couldn't answer the phone. The unspoken intimacy between Pamela and Nelson caused Sabrina to lose sleep.
This time, Nelson did not disappoint Pamela too. He promised, "I'll talk to Sabrina about the ambassadorship. I'm hanging up now."
After the call, Nelson stared down at Sabrina, who was too weak to break free from his grasp. He wrapped his fingers around her chin with such tenderness as though he hadn't just spoken to his mistress over the phone.
Clearly, he wanted to disrespect Sabrina and fool around.
Seemingly in a good mood, he did not mind her anger. He said in a whisper, "You'd better get around it. I can't promise I'll be as patient as today if you misbehave again."
Then, he caressed her head before leaving.
Fuming, she barked at him, "Nelson Tucker, you're delusional! I'll give up on that brooch!" Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Sabrina left the Tucker manor, bringing with her all the daily necessities.
Shannon did not stop her. Instead, she reminded Sabrina to take good care of herself and promised to visit her.
Shannon's eyes were red from all the crying. She felt badly hurt by Nelson's behavior. She promised, "Don't worry about Bridget. I'll get to the bottom of it for you."
"Okay," Sabrina responded curtly and hid the fact of her deteriorating relationship with Nelson.
When she got home, she saw a push notification on her phone—it was a headline about Nelson and Pamela meeting at their love nest.
She did not tap into the news article.
…
Pamela stared at Nelson, who had been looking at his phone on the couch from the moment he arrived at her place.
Stoic, he did not bother to look at her from the time she answered the door. She wondered what was on his mind when he ignored her and stared at his phone.
Finally, he put his phone away and turned to her. "Where's the brooch?"
"Do you need it now? It's at my studio," she replied.
He tilted his head and glanced at her with emotionless eyes. "Hand it over to Dylan in an hour's time."
Pamela agreed.
Nelson walked to the door, but he turned around and added, "Do not call my personal number except under one condition. Just call Dylan if you need anything."
Pamela paled. "Alright."
After he left, she helplessly pressed her back against the shut door.
Just now, she accidentally glanced at his phone. He was staring at his chat history with Sabrina.
She wondered, "Has he developed an interest in Sabrina? Has he given up on searching for the girl who saved his life?"
