His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 259

"I mean, I'm hoping you'll consider visiting Mr. Casper. His condition is pretty serious." Dillon's gaze was heavy as it fell on Eliza's somewhat detached face. "I hate to say this, but if you intentionally hurt someone and it gets pursued, the consequences can be severe." Eliza looked up at him.

Dillon continued, "You have a child. If you don't think about the consequences you will face, shouldn't you think about your kid? I believe you understand how serious this is without me having to spell it out."

They locked eyes for what felt like forever. Finally, Eliza glanced away and replied coldly, "Like master, like servant. Dillon, don't try to use my child to threaten me. That won't work." "I'm not threatening you."

Dillon felt he had said enough. Since she was unwilling, there was no point in pressing further.

"Alright then, I'll go back to taking care of Mr. Casper." As he was about to walk away, something seemed to occur to him, and he turned back. "Your father is indeed with us at the moment, but not for five years like you imagine. We only discovered he was still alive a few days ago." Before Eliza could fully process his words, Dillon had already left.

Had it been Casper who said this, she might not have believed it, but Dillon was usually reliable, which made her ponder. If what Dillon said was true, then was Aaron lying? But Aaron had no reason to lie to her. Eliza's mind was suddenly a whirlwind of confusion, like clouds parting only to reveal more fog.

Casper was still in a coma. Aaron stood at his bedside, staring at his pale face, and suddenly laughed.

"It must hurt to be stabbed by the one you love, huh?" He leaned down and patted Casper's face. "This is just the beginning."

"May broke off our engagement for you and then killed herself. Do you think I've forgotten that?

"I'm telling you, not a day goes by that I don't hate you. My lover and my child are gone, and I won't let you have a happy family.

"You want love and to marry the girl of your dreams? I'll make sure you stumble. I'll make sure you misunderstand each other, torment each other, and never get your love.

"You owe me, and you owe May. You'll pay it back slowly."

Aaron's eyes were filled with deep pain as the events of many years ago replayed in his mind.

He couldn't forget the sight of May falling from the hundredth floor. He

"Casper, considering our childhood friendship, I can't promise you'll be left whole, but I promise I'll leave your wife and son intact."

Aaron's face twisted into a ghastly laugh. His laughter echoed in the silent hospital room, sending chills down the spine.

A week later, Casper's condition had improved His hands were wrapped in bandages, as was his abdomen, thick with gauze. His face, neck, and even his one good hand bor@marks of scratches and bites.

Dillon couldn't help but sigh. How pitiful this was.

"Cough, cough." A muffled sound came from Casper lying on the bed.

Dillon immediately stood up from his chair beside the bed, looking at Casper with concern. "Mr. Casper, are you finally awake?"

"I'm not dead?" Casper's voice was hoarse. He thought he had gone to meet his maker.

"Of course, you're still alive and kicking." Dillon smiled reassuringly, gesturing for Casper not to move too much. "The wound on your abdomen has just been stitched up. Don't move too much, or it might open up."

"How long have I been out?"

Casper felt like he had been asleep for a very long time, so much so that he thought he wouldn't wake up.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"A week," Dillon answered truthfully.

"Then..." His eyes filled with hope as he asked Dillon. "Has she visited me?"
