Humming to myself at my desk, I try to resist the warmth pooling in my core at the thought of an evening with Ryan, and especially in the heady environment of the Club. I need to keep a clear head while I am working. I’ll not be thanked for directing visitors or goods to the wrong destinations or mis- spelling names on badges. The work isn’t difficult, but it does need to be done right.

At five to six, Ryan walks in. As he strolls across to me, his gaze sweeps the lobby.

“No-one else here?”

“No, most of them have gone home.”

“Good. I like to get you alone.” He pulls me up into his arms, holding me tight as he kisses me. “How long before you can finish?”

“Only a few minutes.”

“Mmmm, good.” He nuzzles into my neck. “You smell as though you want to be fucked.”

And my pussy floods.

“Oh…. God….” I say, dropping my face into his chest.”

“What?” he says, concern on his face. “Have I said something wrong?”

“Not at all.” I chuckle. “It’s just that you do it to me every time. I’m all calm and collected, and then you come along, and I just want to throw my clothes out of the window and spread-eagle myself on the bed.”

“Is that right?” he murmurs, sounding pleased. “I’m not going to complain at that. Tell you what. I’ll get two cups of coffee and just wait over there to drink mine, shall I?” He head-points towards the waiting area. “Then you can stay nicely professional until you’re off-shift, and I can spread-eagle you on the bed.”

“Mmm, I think you’d better.”

Ryan turns towards the coffee machine and all but walks into James Alexanders.

Oh, God. I didn’t hear him come in….

He is looking down at me with that slant-eyed glance of his, but he doesn’t seem angry, more…. amused….

He must have heard every word….

“Good evening, Kirstie,” he says, in his molten chocolate tones. “Do I gather that you are going off-shift soon?”

Blushing furiously, “Er, yes, Mr Alexanders. In about ten minutes. Is there something I can do for you?”

“It doesn’t matter right now. but I’d like a word sometime.” He sees the look on my face. “Don’t panic. You’re not in any trouble. I only wanted to thank you for your help this afternoon. You did exactly what you should, hitting the panic button like that, and calling for Michael and me.”

“Glad I could help, Mr Alexanders.”

Ryan stands from his seat, concern in his voice. “Are you alright, Kirstie? Has something happened?”

I’m still flapping, embarrassed. “Er, yes, I’m fine. Sorry, I’ve not had a chance to tell you about it. There was…. er…. an incident here earlier today. Ryan, this is James Alexanders, my, er, Boss. Mr Alexanders, this is my…. friend…. Ryan.”

James’ mouth twitches. He glances at my choker, then back at Ryan. It is perfectly obvious to him what kind of ‘friend’ Ryan is.

“Nice to meet you, Ryan.” He holds out his hands to shake.

“And you. I hope I’m not getting Kirstie into any trouble with you by being here?”

“Not at all. So long as she does her job properly, I have no complaints. And today she did her job very well. I am in any case, only in the loosest sense, Kirstie’s ‘Boss’.”

I step in to explain. “Mr Alexanders is the Technical and Works Director of the Haswell Corporation.”

“Ah… Really?” Ryan’s brows arch. “Perhaps I could give you my card? I supply heating and cooling systems for offices, retail developments, industrial complexes and the like.”

James glances at the card. “Ryan Dougherty? Your own company?”

“Yes, I’m the director and owner.”

“You just supply the equipment? What about installation, commissioning, servicing and so on?”

“Yes, we do all that too. You give us the spec for what you want, and if you’re happy with the price, we’ll handle the rest.”

“Fair enough. As it happens, we do have some contracts coming up for the new retail complex. Perhaps you might be interested in tendering?”

“Perhaps I would. I’ll drop off some information for you about my company.”

“Good. Give it to Kirstie. She can get it to me.” He glances at his watch. “I’ll leave it at that for now. I have to go. Good night, Kirstie. Nice to meet you, Mr Dougherty.”

He turns and leaves.

And as we are alone again, Ryan runs a finger along my arm. “So, what would you like to do this evening? Visit one of these clubs of yours?” He barely touches my skin, simply rippling through the fine hairs of my forearm, and sending a frisson skittering down to my pussy.

“I would, but I’ll need to wear something more appropriate.”

“Fine. We’ll stop off at yours and you can get changed, then you can show me your old haunts.”

In my apartment, as I hover between two different outfits, I hear the ping of a phone message, but not from my own mobile.

After a few moments, there is the sound of cursing from the lounge. Sticking my head around the door, “Problem?” I ask.

Ryan, looking thoroughly annoyed, says, “I’m sorry. I’ve been called away. There’s something that needs dealing with….”

“Always on call when you work for yourself?”

He grimaces. “Yes, that’s the downside. Lots of freedom, but lots of responsibility too.” He pauses, thinking. “Look, this shouldn’t take me more than a couple of hours. Why don’t you get yourself ready anyway, and I’ll meet you at this club of yours?”

“Sounds great.” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

“Good.” He takes my hand, squeezing the fingers. “Text me the address and I’ll see you there.”

“Sure. I’ll tell them at the door to expect you and that you’re with me. They only let in so many single men and if they think you’re by yourself, you might not get in.”
